Scope of application
This privacy policy provides to users information about the nature, extent and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the provider/controller. The legal framework for data protection is set forth in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

Collection of general information
Either we or the web space provider automatically collect information whenever this site is accessed. This information, also known as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. Among other items, the following data are recorded: name of the website, file, date, data quantity, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the site from which you accessed our site) and the IP address. Without this data, it would be technically impossible to deliver and display some of the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of these data is absolutely necessary. Furthermore, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us to optimise the site and the technology. We also reserve the right to review the log files at a later time if we suspect our site has been used illegally.

Contact form/Email
If you contact us using an online form or by email, we store the information you provide so that we can respond to your enquiry and ask any follow-up questions that may be required.

Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies, text files that the server stores on your computer. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system and internet connection. We will not transfer these data to third parties or link them to personal data without your consent. Cookies fulfil two main tasks: they help us to simplify your navigation through our site and to ensure that the website is displayed correctly. They are not used to introduce viruses or launch programs.

Users may also view and utilise our site without accepting cookies by adjusting the related settings in their browsers. Please refer to the help function of your browser to find out how to deactivate cookies. We would like to point out, however, that some functions of this website may be impaired and the ease of use may be limited if you change these settings. You can use the sites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) to manage online advertisement cookies.

Google AdWords
This website uses the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and the conversion tracking that is part of this program. Google AdWords sets a cookie on your computer whenever you access our website from a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for identification of specific individuals. If users access certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the users have clicked on the advertisement and have been directed to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie so cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained from the conversion cookies is used to prepare conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. The customers learn of the total number of users who click on their advertisement and who are directed to a site marked with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information that can be used to identify users personally. If you do not wish to allow the tracking process, you can easily deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie by going to the user preferences in your web browser. Your data will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can learn more about Google’s privacy policy at http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. As a rule, the information regarding your use of this website generated by the cookie is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If, however, IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, Google truncates your IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are parties to the treaty on the European Economic Area before transmitting them.

The full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there solely in exceptional cases. Acting on behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to perform additional services related to website use and internet use for the website operator. The IP address your browser provides within the scope of Google Analytics is not associated with any other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by making the related settings in your browser software; however, we expressly point out to you that doing so may prevent you from being able to use all the functions on this website in their full scope. Moreover, you can prevent the disclosure of the data generated by the cookie and related to your activities on the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Data minimisation
In accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation, we store personal data only as long as necessary or required by law (legal retention period). If and when the purpose of the collected information ceases to apply or the retention period ends, we will block or delete the data.

Your rights to access, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection
You have the right to request, free of charge, information about your personal data we have stored and/or to require rectification, blocking or erasure. Exceptions: The data must be stored for performance of the business transaction or the data are subject to legal retention obligations. Please use the contact information at the beginning of the privacy policy to submit any such requests to us. Data must be stored in a block file where they can be checked so that any blocking of data can be observed at all times. If there is no legal retention obligation, you may also require the erasure of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data whenever you so wish.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
There are a number of data processing operations that are lawful solely with your express consent. You may withdraw any consent you have previously given at any time by sending to us an informal notification of withdrawal of consent by email. The withdrawal of consent is without prejudice to the lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
You as a data subject have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if and when there has been a breach of data protection law. The competent supervisory authority for data law protection issues is the state data protection officer of the state in which our company has its head office. The following link provides a list of data protection officers and their contact details: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html

Right to data portability
You have the right to request the provision of any data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract to you or to third parties. The data will be made available in a machine-readable format. Insofar as you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, the data will be transferred solely insofar as technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption
We use SSL or TLS encryption on our website for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us, the site operator. This means that any data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” address line of your browser and the padlock symbol in the browser line.

Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically sends to us. This includes:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system in use
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address

These data are not merged with any other data sources. The legal grounds for this processing are found in point (b) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR [EU General Data Protection Regulation], which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or for taking the necessary steps prior to entering a contract.

Modification of our privacy policy
We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy at any time to ensure that it is always in compliance with current legal requirements. This also applies in the event that the privacy must be amended owing to the introduction of new or revised services. The new privacy policy becomes effective the next time you visit our website.
